What is a company to do?
- First decide if you want or need to offer these benefits
- Then decide what the budget is going to be
- Structure your company's subsidy to promote uniformity of coverage and benefits
- Realize that if you want to maintain any form of cost controls you must involve your employees
- Educate all participants on not only the benefit structure but how the costs are shared
- Never be afraid to tell the populace how much you pay for them to be covered
- Never be afraid to make the participants - "participate" in the cost and operation of your plan
- Never let the synonyms HRA and HSA be a taboo in your conversations
- ....and remember Educate, Educate, Educate this is the way to a successful plan!
